Money, It's a Gas

A brilliant essay about the fundamental insanity of the current post-secondary debt load students take on and what it does to the economy as a whole. If enough voices cry out in the wilderness, does it eventually stop being the wilderness?

  1. Thanks so much for sharing that. At the job I accepted to get health and dental insurance for the time being, it takes HALF of my monthly income to pay for student loans. Thank goodness I also do my writing. I don't know how others do it. Things really do need to change. Thanks for speaking up!

  2. Why aren't colleges being held accountable in some way for shilling for banks and credit card companies? When my oldest daughter started college, there were credit card reps at orientation and staff would tell her to quit her parttime job and use loans to get through school, so she would have more time to practice, study and whatever else they were doing. You can complain about kids being ignorant about the whole loan process, you can yell about parents not teaching them but the colleges are selling their student info lists to credit card companies!
